MORE FM FRINGE GARDEN FESTIVAL.

Welcome to the fifth More Fm Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival. It is amazing to look back over the last few years and reflect on what has been achieved. Five years ago 16 gardeners got togetherand launched the first Fringe Garden Festival. The vision being to show case the many facets of Taranaki Gardening; organics, artists gardens, edible gardens, large and small, personal andgrand. All the time revelling in the amazing diversity that is the Taranaki Garden. There are few places in the world that you can enjoy a pristine alpine garden just below the snowline then enjoy subtropical gardens before going for a surf all within a few short kilometres. Many of the initiatives of the Fringe Festival have been aped by others which is quite a compliment to that original vision but the growth hasn't stopped and this year it is we believe the biggest festival of private gardens in New Zealand. In addition we are privileged to be able to feature the Taranaki Vintage Machinery Trail which collectively must be one of the more amazing collections anywhere. So in welcoming you I can only say one word ENJOY; the gardens, the places of interest, the machinery, the province and above all the lovely people that are opening a part of their lives to you.
